Having taken a course on inclusive education from professors at the University of Pittsburgh (USA), trainers and developers of the Center's educational programmes discussed ways and opportunities to introduce the acquired knowledge into educational programmes and teacher training to ensure the systematic implementation of best practices of inclusion in the country's schools.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of supporting children with special educational needs, organising the educational process in an inclusive environment, and the role of the school psychologist in providing effective support for inclusion. Advanced teaching strategies aimed at increasing student motivation and methods of creating a comfortable and supportive educational environment were discussed.
Of particular interest was the presentation on ‘Adaptive andragogy using digital technologies’ by Professor Jaroslav Kultan of the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia). His presentation highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies into the educational process to ensure flexibility and individualisation of learning.
The acquired knowledge and techniques will be used to create modern educational programmes that contribute to the professional development of teachers in Kazakhstan.
