Together with EduCluster Finland, the programmes "Development of Science and Reading Literacy, Creative Thinking" and "Development of Mathematics and Reading Literacy, Creative Thinking" have been specially prepared, which involve the study of methods for developing functional literacy using international research tasks, designing the educational process, and improving the skills that allow students to successfully implement themselves in various activities.
About 12,000 teachers took part in field workshops using simulators, and about 11,000 teachers participated in a holiday school. 150,000 views were gained by topical webinars on the YouTube channel, and more than 2,000 representatives of school and college administrations highly appreciated the seminars explaining the possibilities of using functional literacy simulators in the teaching process. More than 4,000 teachers across the country noted the importance of webinars on analysing functional literacy tasks by subject and the asynchronous online course Reading Lab: Understand, Assess, Apply.
The team of the Centre of Excellence will continue to use the best national and international experience, and human and methodological resources of the organisation for continuous professional development of teachers to improve the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
