As part of the conference, the Center of Excellence of NIS introduced an intelligent application called “AI Sabak Track.”
This digital tool, powered by artificial intelligence, enables observation and analysis of classroom lessons. During a lesson, the observer enters all data, facts, and evidence into the application. Based on this information, the system conducts a comprehensive analysis across 27 components and hundreds of criteria, and generates specific recommendations for improving the lesson.
The application helps identify teachers’ professional needs, predict directions for their professional growth, analyze teaching quality, and assess lesson outcomes using special scales. According to Sapura Zholdasbayeva, an expert at the Center of Excellence, the project is still in the development stage:
“Together with fellow trainers Tolegen Nugerbayev, Asiya Kupesheva, Aiman Ibrayeva, Akbota Toktaganova, Yuliya Melnikova, and IT specialists Denis Zhilin, Nazerke Akzhol, and Madiyar Ayipkhan, we worked on the project for about ten months. During development, we analyzed more than a hundred lessons and used data from international studies,” she said.
During a demonstration lesson, participants explored the application’s capabilities and noted that it captures important aspects that even experienced observers might overlook. Thematic sessions also showcased the results of studies and projects aimed at developing teachers’ professional capacity and improving the educational process in the context of digitalization.
