Educational tourism

"Educational tourism" is the project of the Center of Pedagogical Excellence that has been implemented since 2019. A specificity of this project is a unique opportunity to improve the professional development of Kazakhstani teachers using the “Lesson Study” approach during lessons with immersion in an authentic environment.

The project includes: a trip to Tokyo (Japan), participation in the seminar "Lesson Research: the experience of Japanese schools" on the basis of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, which is conducted by Japanese Lesson Study experts; visits to Japanese schools to observe Lesson research and immersion in the research process.

Project participants have the opportunity to attend various lessons, observe teachers discussing the lesson, ask questions and see Japanese schools' life.

The project includes a cultural and sightseeing programme of Tokyo.

Also the organization and conduct of retreats and master classes in Nur-Sultan for teachers of secondary schools of the country.

The project includes training by leading trainers of the Center of Pedagogical Excellence, seminars in relevant areas with obtaining certificates, visiting and observing the work of teachers of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, a rich cultural program in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Collective applications are accepted.
