As part of the development of distance learning for the country's teachers, the online course Active Learning Methods on Physics Lessons (hereinafter referred to as ALM Physics) was launched on 15 January 2021. The online course “Active Learning Methods on Physics Lessons” was developed in accordance with the model curricula for secondary education in the subject “Physics” and is intended for physics teachers, methodologists and anyone interested in the organisation of active learning on physics lessons to improve the quality of learning.
The active teaching methods and techniques discussed in this online course provide increased motivation to study the subject of Physics and provide teachers with the necessary tools to develop key 21st century skills and competencies. The course structure includes theoretical and practical material as well as additional material and links to resources for self-study.
This course has been developed by the private entity Center of Excellence of the AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” in partnership with “Knowledge Engineering” LLP and is available for everyone on the portal “Academia.kz” at the following links: in Kazakh (https://academia.kz/kz/course/123) and in Russian (https://academia.kz/ru/course/122).
