On April 21, 2021, as part of the implementation of the project “Rural School”, the Center of Pedagogical Excellence of the AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” held the second republican online seminar “The Practice of a Rural Teacher” on the platform ZOOM. The initiators of the seminar organization were the branches of the CPE in Kokshetau and Kyzylorda.
The purpose of the seminar was to exchange experience among teachers from rural schools in order to improve teaching and learning practices. More than 900 teachers from 6 regions of the country took part in the seminar.
In the course of her speech, A.O. Kazzhanova, Managing Director of the AEO “NIS” noted particular significance of the project “Rural School” for the development of education. Director of the Department of Experience Translation of the AEO “NIS”, G.K. Balgabayeva, described the implementation of the project in the regions.
After discussing the issues of managing changes in schools, the heads of rural schools in Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions shared their experience on teachers' professional development.
Trainings and master classes on various subjects were held at the “Laboratory of a Professional Development: Deepening Subject Knowledge” and “IT Studio: Integration of Web 2.0 Services into the Learning Process” breakout sessions. The most interesting for discussion were speeches about interactive teaching methods in distance learning, the development of assignments on the platform Learning Apps, and interactive student assessment using the Classtime service.
