At the opening of the Intensive, Anuar Zhangozin, Chairman of the Board of the AEO ‘Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’, noted the uniqueness of the large-scale training programme for the reserve of school managers. Amanat Party Secretary Sholpan Karinova analysed the key tasks of the NEXT director, shaping the future. Associate Professor of Nazarbayev University Duishon Shamatov shared his views on the basics of ideal leadership.
At the Management Intensive, school principals from among the project ‘1000 Leaders of Change in Education’ 2023 graduates spoke about their managerial experience, and current project participants expressed their readiness for a new stage in their professional activity.

A real leader creates a space where every student and teacher feels their importance,’ Bolat Munbayev, Director of School-Gymnasium No. 62 in Almaty, a graduate of the talent pool, shared his landmark achievements. The schedule of the Intensive for top managers of national education includes a case session from the practice of school principals ‘How Success Comes: School Management Experience’, an expert session ‘How to Define and Measure Key Performance Indicators of a School Principal’, a master class ‘Effective Leadership: Tips and Life Hacks’, and a workshop ‘Principal's Communication Strategies: Influencing the Team and Parents’.

Managing a school, we shape the future of our children, and this requires the utmost dedication, understanding and aspiration to change the world for the better,’ said Ravil Yakupov, NIS expert of Karaganda city, at one of the sessions.
On the second day of the Intensive, certificates were presented to the graduates of the Presidential Programme ‘1000 Leaders of Change in Education 2024. Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev congratulated 376 best participants who were included in the list of personnel reserve of school leaders. Graduates of the programme will be appointed to the vacant position of the first head without going through competitive procedures. The training will continue with post-course support, and already today the Center Excellence NIS is ready for systematic monitoring of the professional development of future leaders.
