The Center of Excellence of “Nazarbayev Intellectual schools” AEO has started the training programme of a reserve of executives for education sphere “Management in education: school activity management” in Aktau, Almaty, Kyzylorda and Shymkent. At this moment more than 100 participants are trained under this programme. It is also planned to provide training in Nur-Sultan and Atyrau.
Training includes the study of the regulatory and financial foundations of school management, the rules of per capita funding, labour and anti-corruption legislations, strategic planning methods and leadership approaches in the professional development of teachers.
The issues of intra-school management, i.e. components of a management culture, styles of management, school leader’s essential skills, corporate culture, ways of teacher motivation and time-management will be considered in detail.
The particular attention will be drawn to the development of practical skills in analyzing statistical data, monitoring and evaluating results, making managerial decisions, organizing and implementing intra-school control.
A mentor will look after each participant to provide support during the training.
The final evaluation involves the preparation of a portfolio, that reflects the results of the tests and practical work, done by the end of each module, and also the writing of a structured essay.
