On the threshold of the Fourth Technological Revolution, every teacher needs to flexibly respond to changes in the world around. These changes require sustainable development of hard skills along with soft (flexible) skills. Demanded employees will have to be able to solve complex problems, think critically and creatively, have communication and emotional management skills. At the moment, educational programs of universities and colleges do not fully implement such trainings.

In this regard, a branch of the Center of Excellence in Kokshetau took the initiative to organize Skills Club for graduate students of pedagogical specialties. The goal of the club is to provide support for students who are getting acquainted with approaches to the development of soft skills of the 21st century.

Skills Club is a supportive and developing space for students to build and implement a successful professional educational path. The trainers in Kokshetau branch of the Centre of Excellence have produced a systematic course for developing soft skills applying an effective combination of various forms of interaction between the club members. The club’s work format includes trainings, discussion platforms, facilitating classes and transformational games.

Skills Club is designed for students of the Kazakh Pedagogical College named after Zhanaidar Musin and students of the Multidisciplinary College at Kokshetau Pedagogical University named after Shokan Ualikhanov. Skills Club is a unique open area (open space) to develop competencies of the future.
