Журнал «Педагогический диалог» № 4 (2020 год)

19.01.2021 This issue of the journal “Pedagogical Dialogue” is devoted to the education of rural schools, which is one of the main problems in modern education. It is true that in a rapidly changing information world, rural schools cannot keep up. The main reasons why rural schools cannot compete with urban schools are the poor quality of broadband Internet, a weak material and technical base and a lack of qualified specialists. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev in his Address “Constructive public dialogue is the basis of stability and prosperity in Kazakhstan” proposed to reduce the gap in the quality of education in urban and rural schools. “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” AEO developed the “Rural School” project and conducted a pilot study in several schools in order to improve the quality of education in rural schools. In this issue, readers can learn about the results of this study, as well as about the work of Nazarbayev University researchers on rural schools in Kazakhstan. In addition, researches by scientists from Canada, Russia, China, New Zealand and India on the advantages and disadvantages of rural schools in these countries will be interesting.
